01 | ALL ABOUT CANAN
My name is Canan, and usually I introduce myself as “Canan like the camera” but my name is actually pronounced “Jan-an”. My name is Turkish, and in the Turkish language a ‘C’ is pronounced like a ‘J’. I have been a photographer for over 17 years now. I started out in fashion photography and had a studio location in Etobicoke. I then switched to weddings because I was being asked if I could capture the editorial style in wedding photos. We now also have added portraits and branding services as we continue to expand and looking to announce new projects in the near future.
02 | HELLO HOMAYOUN!
Homayoun went to McMaster for Civil Engineering, but he always had a passion for creative arts. We met 6 years ago and it was not only the beginning of a romantic relationship, but a collaborative business partnership. He helps making little ones smile and takes BTS video of our sessions for social media as well as video coverage for events. He is also a major part of work flow and editing after the session.
03 | FUN FACTS
We are both huge movie lovers! We go to the movies as often as we can and watch old movies over again just so we can experience it together.
Homayoun is vegan and has been since 2012 and was a vegetarian before that since 2009.
Canan loves the color purple and this started with teenage mutant ninja turtles! My favorite was Donatello who was the purple color in the cartoon and the rest is history.
Homayoun is a huge Arsenal fan and has been since 1997.
Canan is half Turkish and half Iranian, she can speak 3 languages fluently.
Homayoun is an avid model car collector and has a collection of over 500 cars.
